June Summer
Lot 59:
Description
This is a vintage folding pocket knife in the classic Barlow pattern, notable for its characteristic long metal bolster. The knife features a two-blade configuration consisting of a clip-point main blade and a serrated secondary blade designed as a fish scaler with a notched tip for cap lifting or hook removal. Both blades are constructed from carbon steel and exhibit a heavy dark patina with significant surface oxidation and rust throughout. The silver-toned bolster is stamped with the name BARLOW in block letters. The handle is made of dark brown jigged scales, likely a synthetic composite or Delrin, secured to brass liners with three brass pins. A tang stamp is present on the base of the main blade but is worn and illegible.
Blade length: 2.5 inches.
