Description
Attributed to the Indiana Glass Company, this vintage two-piece covered dish is crafted in transparent amber pressed glass. The set comprises a lid molded in the form of a seated hen and an oval base representing a nest. The lid features textural molded details for the feathers, wings, tail, comb, and wattle. A raised circular medallion containing irregular indentations is present on the center of the hen’s back. The oval base is bordered by a raised beaded rim and features a stippled texture on the exterior bottom surface.
