Description
This miniature hen on nest covered dish was manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company using a legacy A.H. Heisey and Company mold. The item is constructed from pressed emerald green translucent glass. The lid is shaped like a nesting hen with detailed feathering on the body, wings, and tail. The matching base features a raised diamond-quilted pattern and a scalloped top edge. A raised mark consisting of a capital letter H within an equilateral triangle is present on the center of the underside, a mark used by Imperial Glass after acquiring Heisey molds in 1958.
