Description
A two piece pressed glass covered dish in the form of a rooster on a nest, produced by the Imperial Glass Corporation. The piece is crafted from translucent emerald green glass containing uranium, which exhibits a strong green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. The lid is molded in the shape of a rooster with detailed feathering, a prominent comb, and high curved tail feathers. The oval base features a basketweave pattern and a scalloped rim composed of interlaced loops. A raised Imperial Glass mark, consisting of a vertical I superimposed over a capital G, is located in the center of the base interior.
