Description
This numismatic item is a proof-finish twenty dollar coin issued for the British Virgin Islands and struck by The Franklin Mint. Struck in sterling silver, the reverse design features a central octagonal frame containing a figure of Saint Benedict holding a cross and a book, flanked by the Latin inscriptions C R V X S P B and B E N E D I C. The outer ornamental border includes a scallop shell at the nine o’clock position and an eagle at the three o’clock position. The peripheral legends read T W E N T Y B R I T I S H V I R G I N I S L A N D S D O L L A R S. The coin is presented in its original black textured collector card, which features gold foil line borders and two gold foil printed labels reading THE FRANKLIN MINT.
