Description
A large hand-painted ceramic figurine of the character Dumbo from the 1941 animated film. The elephant is depicted in a seated position atop a circular pedestal base. The figure wears a blue circus ruff with pink trim and a matching blue pointed hat with a pink tip. The piece features a matte gray finish with painted black eyebrows and eyelashes, blue eyes, and black toenails. An impressed mark on the lower reverse reads © WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS. The underside rim of the base features incised characters reading MACNE on one side and T C on the other, indicating a piece created from a McNeil’s ceramic mold.
