Description
A 1996 US Mint uncirculated coin set, featuring specimens from both the Philadelphia and Denver mints. The collection comprises two original mint-issued plastic sleeves. The first sleeve, distinguished by a red-striped border, contains five circulating denominations: a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, and Kennedy half dollar, alongside a copper-colored token impressed with a capital letter D for the Denver Mint. The second sleeve, distinguished by a blue-striped border, contains the same five denominations accompanied by a copper-colored token impressed with a capital letter P for the Philadelphia Mint. As documented on the included printed white paper sheet titled UNITED STATES MINT UNCIRCULATED COIN SET SPECIFICATIONS, the cent composition is copper-plated zinc, the nickel is cupro-nickel, and the dime, quarter, and half dollar are cupro-nickel clad. The set includes the original cardboard header card printed in black with THE UNITED STATES MINT 1996 UNCIRCULATED COIN SET.

The specification sheet features a printed header reading UNITED STATES MINT UNCIRCULATED COIN SET Specifications followed by a table of technical data. One token is impressed with a capital letter D surrounded by the text DENVER and UNCIRCULATED. The second token is impressed with a capital letter P surrounded by the text PHILADELPHIA and UNCIRCULATED.
