Two Coca-Cola Advertising Collectibles Including Embossed Holiday Tin and Scalloped Metal Tray
Description
This lot features two metal advertising collectibles for the Coca-Cola brand. The first item is a rectangular lidded storage tin with a red lithographed exterior. The lid is 3D embossed with an illustration of Santa Claus in his traditional red and white suit, depicted holding a glass Coca-Cola bottle. Beside the figure is a green oval containing the script text Happy Holidays. The background of the lid features a repeating faint script pattern of the same greeting. The lid is finished with a beveled, tan-colored border with dark brown speckling. The interior of the tin and the underside of the lid are finished in a bright gold-tone metal, with the debossed reverse of the Santa figure visible on the interior lid.
The second item is a small metal tray with a scalloped, red-painted rim. The central lithographed image shows a woman in early 20th-century clothing holding a glass of Coca-Cola against a teal and yellow gradient background. The text on the tray reads DRINK Coca-Cola in white script, followed by DELICIOUS AND REFRESHING in green block lettering. The reverse side of the tray has a gold-tone metal finish. No maker marks, copyright dates, or country-of-origin marks are visible on the surfaces of either item. Two small squares of black hook-and-loop adhesive are attached to the reverse of the tray.
