Description
This US 1890-O Morgan silver dollar (KM# 110) is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap decorated with wheat and cotton, with the word LIBERTY inscribed on her headband. The legend E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1890 are positioned along the rim. The reverse features a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings clutching arrows and an olive branch, encircled by a laurel wreath. Above the eagle is the motto In God we trust in Gothic script. An impressed O mint mark, identifying the New Orleans Mint, is located on the reverse above the letters DO in the word DOLLAR. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR follow the outer rim. The coin has a reeded edge.
