Description
This set consists of six glazed vitrified china salad plates from the Fiesta line produced by the Homer Laughlin China Company in the United States. Each circular plate features the characteristic concentric ring pattern around the rim and center, a signature design of the Fiesta brand. The collection features five different solid color glazes: one yellow, one orange-red, one dark blue, one bright green, and two turquoise. Each plate is marked on the underside with a printed stamp. The marks consist of a circular arrangement of the text HOMER LAUGHLIN CHINA CO. surrounding a script Fiesta mark, U.S.A., a four-letter production code, and the words LEAD FREE. The orange-red plate also includes the word GENUINE above the script mark. The manufacturing codes vary by plate, indicating contemporary production dates: GGGA for yellow, MMA for orange-red, ZZD for dark blue, TTD for green, and RRRE and BBBC for the two turquoise plates. Each plate has a raised, unglazed foot ring at the base.
Across the widest point, each plate measures approximately 7 1/4 inches in diameter.
